2 reviews for Cattle Lameness and Hoofcare 3rd Edition

  1. Veterinary Practice

The author, an RCVS specialist in cattle health and production (dairy), has long been recognised as one of the UK’s foremost authorities on this subject and this illustrated guide has been updated with revised hoof trimming protocols, new insights on the structure and function of the digital cushion and an examination of diseases such as digital dermatitis and sole ulceration.

  2. Veterinary Record

The text summarises the causes of lameness and how we can work to prevent it. This section, although brief, is a useful starting point for further reading and prompting ideas for investigating potential issues. Having read the second edition of this text while at university, I found that reading the third edition while in practice was time well spent, furthering my understanding in this ever-advancing topic.
